Statement of Faith
What we believe:
God is the Creator. The Scriptures were inspired by God and are without error. God exists as the Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again on the third day. Through grace, repentance, and faith in the sufficient work of the cross, sinners are forgiven and saved.
Scripture references: Genesis 1, 2 Timothy 3:16, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 1:18, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 4:25, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:22
Group Guidelines
- Although this is a Christian homeschool group, anyone may participate.
- Because every participating family is significant, our goal is to support, encourage, and enhance them in their homeschooling endeavor.
- The areas of leadership in the group include two co-leaders and a secretary/treasurer.
- New leadership is appointed by the previous leaders.
- Those who agree with the statement of faith will be considered for leadership.
- With any type of activity or class, the statement of faith is respected even if it is not your personal belief.
- All families involved with the group are encouraged to help with a minimum of two activities per year with the exception of first year homeschoolers and famillies with newborns (or new members.)
- Monthly meetings are scheduled for moms to discuss homeschooling information, family and faith topics, upcoming activities, and to be encouraged.
- Those responsible for hosting a meeting will have an assistant and are asked to provide a location for the meeting, inform others of time, date and location of meeting, and establish a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. (Refreshments are optional.)
